In the age of Pinterest it is so easy to just “pin” beautiful and inspiring imagery and not take note of, or even be too concerned about, the origins and story behind the image. I am most certainly guilty of this sin – often not knowing very little about the hundreds of images I’ve amassed on my boards. So imagine my delight when I discovered the creative force behind one of my favourite interior images: Giò Ponti.

It’s that time of year again… and no, I don’t mean Christmas and the festive season, I mean that time of the year when PANTONE (the international Colour Authority) unveils its Colour of the Year, which, for 2014, is Pantone 18-3224: “Radiant Orchid”.
The GUILD Exhibition will be Africa’s first international design fair and will take place February to March 2014 (27th Feb till 9th March), which will coincide with the beginning of the World Design Capital 2014 programme and of which it is an official event.
