At the beginning of this month we introduced to you the Plascon 2014 Colour Forecast; so today we are taking a closer look at the palettes within this selection, starting with Second Nature.
Plascon 2014 Colour Forecast: Second Nature Palette
Second Nature is a refreshing look at the natural world and our relationship to this world as more and more of us are living in cities. As a result, urban spaces have become our key reference point, but bringing a bit of the natural world into these spaces is essential to us leading balanced lives.
Colour is one way to do this – the sentiment is captured in a bright, vibrant palette of greens and blues, activated by a bright yellow accent.
The reason that greens and blues feature so heavily in this selection is because they are colours that connect us to the natural world and define our relationship with it…
The key influences in this colour palette are the South American rain forest, jungle and acid-green tones, tropical-inspired motives, urban pattern, eclectic combinations. All of which picks up perfectly on the “Brazilia” design and interior influences we are seeing everywhere at the moment, as pointed out by our very own Lauren Shantall in her post in January earlier this year…
