Purple that has more red in it is usually called violet, and the more blue shades are called purple. A “purple patch” means a run of good luck or success.

Grey is one of those colours that’s being talked about at the moment in design circles. If you are one of our readers who love this shade, then we have a host of ideas for incorporating it into your space because unlike in life, grey areas in decor are gorgeous. Perhaps everyone’s gone gaga for grey thanks to the literary success of books like “50 Shades of Grey”… Whatever the case there are an infinite amount of tones that range from blackest charcoal to lightest eiderdown grey.
October Colour Of The Month: Pink
Pink is one of those colours that resonates with almost everyone; you may not love it to wear, or for that matter choose it for your home, but it has an undeniable universal appeal to most people. Perhaps it is because this colour connects us to very distant memories of our time in the womb and the soft, warm, watery and protective pink bubble from whence we came. Whatever the origins of people’s sentiments towards pink, there will be a shade of it that will speak to you on a very personal level; from pale candy-floss pink to ruddy salmon pink, to orange-based coral pinks, to purple-infused fuchsia, to the bold and beautiful neon shades that are popping up everywhere – pink is no longer the domain of sugar-and-spice little girls…
September Colour of the Month: Teal
I have always adored peacocks for their magnificent plumage, which is full of so many iridescent and inspiring shades of colour… In particular, there’s the universally flattering shade of teal! The ultimate combination of blue and green, it makes for the perfect blend of simplicity and sophistication when applied to both clothing and interiors. It’s why Plascon Spaces has made it the Colour of the Month in celebration of spring!
August Colour of the Month: Blue
A new month means a new Colour of The Month and today we introduce Blue as our colour for August. May Colour of the Month: Tangerine Tango
Emerging from a period of global recession, but faced with shifting and uncertain economics in Europe, orange and in particular Tangerine is a mental and emotional antidote to the depressing social and political circumstances. It is warm, optimistic and energetic – the perfect pick-me-up when times are tough.
April Colour of the Month: Purple
Purple is unique, creative and spiritual – just like the people it appeals to. It’s also one of the characteristic colours of Easter. That’s why it’s our April Colour of the Month… and also a star colour on the cover of the latest Plascon SPACES magazine.
