It’s an exciting time for Plascon as we launch the 2013 Colour Forecast at Decorex. The forecast colours are on display at the Plascon Trend House where four top designers have decorated a room in one of the four palettes.

Decorex is on until the 12th of August but if you are unable to make it, we have some exclusive pictures for you

The overall stand was designed by Laurence Brick, of Laurence Brick Creative Direction (LBCD), Laurence also designed the Plascon consultancy area in colours from the Simplicity palette.
2013 forecast brochures as well as the brand new Plascon Spaces Magazine are available on the stand.

PAUSE

“Pause Palette” Stand at Plascon Decorex 2012 by Yvonne O’Brian

The Pause Palette is showcased by Yvonne O’Brien from The Private House Co. The beautiful pastel bedroom walls were painted with Plascon Cashmere. The dado colour is Ocean Liner B6-E1-4, the wall above the dado is Veldrift Y2-D2-3 with a frame painted in Lover’s Tryst P7-D2-2.

DARE

“Dare Palette” Stand at Decorex 2012, by Egg Design

Greg and Roche Dry of Egg Designs used colours from the Dare Palette in this dining room. I loved the unusual brown ceiling painted with Plascon Polvin African Mud O2-E1-1. One of my favourite colours in the forecast is Casa del Mar B2-C1-4 used on the feature wall. Landing E15-2 was used on the side walls.

The lounge area was designed by Lisebo Mokhesi and George Boorsma of Ink Studio using the Contrast palette. Having done paint effects myself I was so impressed with the graphic paint effect done as a feature wall, hats off to these gals.

Forecast Fashion

Also creating excitement around the forecast and the Plascon stand is a small fashion show. 4 South African fashion designers each designed a gown in in one of the forecast themes. The fashion show times are 11.45am, 12.30pm, 1.30pm and 2.15pm.
