Today we’re doing the final post on our Plascon Colour Design Awards 2014 competition, featuring the Professional Category Winners. The overall winner of the Awards was Ayesha Danyal from Munnik Visser Architects for her entry “Mitchells Plain Hospital”; she was assisted on this exciting project by Magqwaka Associates Architects and New Era Architects.

The second winner was Mia van Wyk from the Cécile & Boyd Foundation for her entry “The Power of Colour”, which was also one of the recognized WDC2014 projects:

Ayesha Danyal won a trip to New York City to the value of R40 000; our runner-up winner Mia Van Wyk received a R5000 cash prize.
The short-listed entries, together with the winning entries of both categories, will be showcased in the next issue of Plascon Spaces magazine. They will also be showcased at 100% Design South Africa from 06-10 August 2014 at the Gallagher Convention Centre.
