The fourth and final colour palette in Plascon’s Colour Forecast 2014 is Inner Space. The inspiration for this collection of colours grew out of the use of sanctuary environments as spaces to rest and reflect, away from the busy worlds we live in.
Plascon Colour Forecast 2014: Inner Space Palette
This palette looks to the night skies, stars and universe for colour inspiration – it is designed to enhance a contemplative mood. The theme is expressed through a collection of neutral shades (a bit like the colour of the moon, or moon dust) and velvety-looking blues that emulate a midnight blue sky for a deep, tonal palette.
The key influences are space and the galaxy; so the colours are a deep and moody colour or neutral and lunar-like.
This brings us to the end of our focus posts on the Plascon 2014 Colour Forecast. Next week we are going to be looking ahead to the beginning of National Colour Week (1-7 September) and will be serving up all sorts of information and inspiration on how you can get involved with this initiative… Till then, have a happy weekend!
