Pastel pink has been around for some time and we are seeing this colour moving on to a more powdery blush-like hue. It was one of the colours spotted at Milan this year in furniture and lighting design. Signs is a graphic collection of mirrors made from a sheet of copper with a finish on it to create a graphic game of perception, perspective and reflects.
What rooms does powder pink suit?
Powder pink is not just for babies’ nurseries and little girls’ rooms. This new neutral pink also works beautifully in adult bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms, studies and entrances. It gives a lovely glow to the skin, so it is also a good colour for a bathroom. It creates a contemporary, sophisticated and calm statement.
Colours that go well with Powder Pink
Powder Pink is soft, cozy and romantic; a delicate hue that can be used on its own, but it works well with other colours to create new trendy combinations and moods. Pink becomes more sophisticated when combined with grey or black. Medium-to-dark blues and greens also make a good combination.
Brown is another neutral that goes well with pink. This modern furniture by Bruehl is modern yet its clean lines are such that it won’t go out of fashion easily.
Malala Yousafzai wore the perfect colour – pink – when she addressed the UN General Assembly on July 12, a day which also marked her 16th birthday. Pink is a good colour to wear when you feel compassionate and loving; it also encourages you to be kind to yourself – it is comforting and soothing.
If your favourite colour is soft pink
Soft pink personalities are charming and friendly, gentle and peace loving. They are tender and warm, cautious and contemplative.
