Decorex Johannesburg is coming up soon and visitors can expect a “celebration of colour” at the Plascon stand – the show’s title sponsor.
Traditionally, this has also been the platform to unveil the new Colour Forecast for the following year (the 2015 Colour Forecast in this case) and this year the stand will move into Hall 4 with a brand new stand design.
Plascon to Unveil the 2015 Colour Forecast
The expo takes place on the 6th to 10th of August at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, with bookings already having opened for tickets which can be purchased at either www.decorex.co.za or through webtickets.
Anne Roselt, our Plascon Colour Manager, says:
“As Africa’s leading décor, design and lifestyle exhibition, Decorex Joburg is the natural choice for us to showcase our new colour palette for the year ahead … We look forward to Decorex Joburg each year where we can meet with the local décor industry as well as our customers and we can’t wait to reveal paint’s exciting new direction for 2015 … Without letting the cat our of our bag, it’s going to be a colourful year ahead with a sense of freedom, optimism and plenty of positive energy … We are also going to reveal that paint effects are making a comeback, but in ways you’ve never seen before. We’re not rehashing sponging and bagging here!”
Anne believes there to be a global movement towards creativity that makes for fun techniques and different ways to use colour – all spot-on in terms of lifestyle trends.
“Colour can be so uplifting, that even if the outside world is depressing, you can make your home a happy place.”
Look out for all the winners of the Plascon 2014 Colour Design Awards, exhibiting this year at the inaugural 100% Design South Africa exhibition.
Also, don’t miss Dion Chang’s (of Flux Trends) session – Caesarstone Design and Trend Forecast – at Decorex Johannesburg in which he unpacks a few lifestyle trends.
His reputation as one of South Africa’s leading trend analysts is well-deserved, and his insights into global décor trends, report-back from EuroCucina, thoughts around retirement (“cronuts are the new cupcake”) and our move towards a gender-free world, will be well worth the listen!
Don’t miss the expo 🙂
