Pretty in Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

pinkribbonThis month we’re going decidedly pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The colour pink not only represents compassion, nurturing and love, but can also bring an air of fun to any space.

Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers in South Africa. The good news is that early detection of the condition can lead to effective treatment; according to research, 90% of patients survive for many years when breast cancer is detected in the early stages.

Many iconic buildings will be illuminated pink during October in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month – including Nelson Mandela bridge, thanks to Estee Lauder and Phillips.

Add a touch of pink to your space with Plascon’s Valentino Rose (R2-A1-2) taken from Plascon’s 2016 Discovery Palette. This hue is fun, frivolous and great for adding energy to any lacklustre space, especially a bedroom.
